Use numbers expressed in the form of a single digit times a whole-number power of 10 to estimate very large or very small quantities, and to express how many times as much one is than the other. For example, estimate the population of the United States as 3 times 108 and the population of the world as 7 times 109, and determine that the world population is more than 20 times larger.

Reflection:

I was surprised at the fact of how our perspective can change depending on our view and how far we had zoomed as well on how the numbers got bigger and smaller and changed.

I wonder how much the numbers got bigger if we had zoomed out even farther and got deeper into space rather than zoomed back in.

Each time the exponent on 10 goes up one value, the distance changes by, what I believe becomes 10 times wider again.

The atom was 4 times bigger than it's nucleus, because the carbon nucleus was 10^-14 and the atom itself was only 10^-10.
